Muxtape, the music sharing/playlist site that ran afoul of the RIAA last year is back. Sort of. They are in the middle of a closed preview featuring 12 bands, but it’s far from the free-for-all that was the old site. It’s unclear if the site is trying to be a music discovery avenue, like Pandora, or more of a communication channel between artists and fans, like Myspace.

It will be interesting to see how they scale. Right now the site isn’t robust enough to be either, but it does have some nice grids.

It’s good to see Of Montreal taking part, and I found Adron, whose music I like very much.

What a great video and a nice song. Seems like it was made on a tight budget, but they made the most of it. I wonder how long it took.
